Timbers or Colours

There is the earthy rich tones of Spotted Gum, Sydney Blue Gum or Jarrah or the lighter tones of Tasmanian Oak, Blackbutt or European Oak. European Oak can also be stained in many tones to suit different styles of homes. There are more timber floors to choose from, these are just a few of the more popular floating timber floors.

Beauty That Lasts a Lifetime

Floating or Engineered flooring has become the affordable “go to” timber floor. They are unique in their construction, being 100% timber on top. The thickness of timber on top (the lamella) ranges from a 6mm timber top down to a 0.6mm. Most engineered timber is manufactured with a unique locking system.  This fits together to ensure that your floor will be a beautiful part of your home for many years to come. They are designed to withstand a lot – children, animals & sliding furniture. Engineered floors have a high-quality lacquer finish and come in a range of finishes from Matt to Gloss.

The wonderful thing about floating floors is that they can be sanded & polished if they show signs of wear and tear or they are damaged. The Parquetry Flooring Company offers client follow ups via email after 7 years to see if your floor requires polishing and resealing.  Again, keeping your floors looking beautiful for years to come.

Floating Floors and the Underlays

A good underlay is always used by The Parquetry Flooring Company. The dense closed cell foam provides excellent reduction of both reflected and impact noise. We use a high density underlay when laying floating floors in multi-story buildings. This reduces foot fall noise from above.
