Family Owned & Operated Since 1963
Our company is a family business which was started in 1963 and has been passed down for three generations. We specialise in timber and parquetry flooring and have a wealth of knowledge to pass onto our customers. The company was started by Anne and Colin Biemond in 1963. They had four daughters who helped Colin during the holidays. As time went by the girls married. Peter Ganglen, Colin’s son-in-law, joined the company back in 1976. Over the years, three of the boys who married Biemond sisters worked within the company. Later Peter and Helena bought the Parquetry Flooring Company and are still running it now.
Peter started off on the tools, becoming an amazing floor technician and after some years, joined the office team doing most of the quotes. Peter loves to still be on the tools when he can and help our customers get the best from their timber floors. Helena also works in the office alongside Peter. Their sons Adam and Nicholas have joined the Parquetry Flooring team over the years. Adam is the third generation to still be working with the company, originally as a floor technician and now as part of the office team. He has a wealth of experience both on the tools and in the office/showroom. Aneleh (Peter and Helena’s daughter) made her first appearance in the company when she was in an ad in the Yellow Pages from 1982 until about 2006.
