Cork is an environmentally friendly, naturally renewable material.

It is harvested from the bark of the Cork Oak Tree without harming it. The bark grows back every few years.

It is a biodegradable flooring product that will break down in the environment when disposed of.

Cork has antimicrobial properties it contains a waxy substance called suberin (an inert impermeable waxy substance present in the cell walls of cork tissue).

This is fantastic if you are considering putting in a cork floor and have allergies or young children.

It naturally repels small vermin and insects. This makes cork floors resistant to the growth and colonization of these organisms, and can, therefore, help to promote a healthy environment.

Save money!

Cork Flooring can be a good insulator, effectively insulating the rooms of your home, which can help you save money on heating and cooling bills.

Cork Options have expanded
Traditional or Floating.

Traditional cork flooring is available in tiles. The cork tiles are 6 mm thick. They are 305 mm x 305 mm. Cork is laid directly on concrete or Masonite.

The traditional cork tile floors are sanded and coated with a finish, similar to timber floors. They can also be stained.

Engineered Cork floors or floating cork flooring are installed pre-finished which makes them a quick and cost-effective floor covering, whilst maintaining the warmth of a traditional cork floor. We install engineered floating cork floors in a similar way to timber floating floors.

Floating Cork Floors come in an assortment of pre-finished colours to suit any decor. The floating cork floors that we supply & install are ReadyCork™.

Do you have a cork floor?

To maintain your cork floors, always follow general cleaning instructions as per timber floors. So, no harsh chemicals, only soft brooms and a limited amount of water. We have products available in our showroom.

In years to come your cork flooring may need a light sand and a reapplication of the finish that you chose.
